Customer Service Representative/Medical Receptionist
We are looking for a self-motivated Medical Receptionist! This is a great opportunity to get your foot in door in this exciting and growing industry. If you seek a supportive and team-oriented work environment then this Medical Receptionist position may be for you.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Being the face of the business the Medical Receptionist handles inbound and outbound calls as well as greeting patients
Maintain accurate detailed medical records for patients and assist with verifying insurances
Coordinate with office staff for timely care of patients
Schedule patients in for setups, consultations, and fittings
Assist with responsibilities of other departments
Safeguard patients privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines
Listen and understand customer requests, questions, and complaints
Accurately input notes, customer information, and other data into the system (Brightree)
Explain processes and procedures accurately
Prior knowledge of durable medical equipment, respiratory care, or medical billing in general, is helpful, but not necessary - a desire and ability to learn is necessary
Spanish as a second language is desirable
Ability to multitask and remain cool under pressure
Must be organized and professional in demeanor and appearance
Skilled diplomacy in customer and associate interactions. Must be able to demonstrate superior customer service skills, for better or worse.
Must be adept at problem-solving and extremely detail oriented

Hours: M-F 8:45-17:00 (~38.75 hours/week)
Compensation: $14.50-16/hour (+ healthcare stipend after first 3 months, 401K after 12 months, paid vacation/time off)
